Privacy Policy

ELLIS is a pre-launch project. Right now the only thing we collect is the email address you choose to give us so we can tell you when ELLIS opens. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens with it.
The short version: we store your email to send you one launch notification, nothing else. No analytics, no advertising, no selling your data, no sharing it with anyone beyond the service that runs this page. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we will.
01Who is responsible
The data controller for this website is Donato Villani. For any question about your data, or to exercise the rights described below, write to dv@b12s.ai.
02What we collect
- Your email address: only when you submit it through the waitlist form.
- Basic technical data tied to the submission, such as the time of submission and the IP address of the request, handled by our form provider to prevent spam and abuse.
- If you tell us: an optional, anonymous answer about what you'd be willing to pay. You choose whether to share it; it's tied only to your email, for us to gauge interest.
- Anonymous visit statistics: we count page views with a cookieless, privacy-first tool (Umami) that builds no profile of you. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
We do not ask for your name, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking.
03Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your email for a single purpose: to notify you when ELLIS becomes available, and to share occasional updates about that launch. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any moment (see below).
04Who processes it
This site and its form submissions are hosted by Netlify, which stores the submissions on our behalf as a data processor. Netlify operates infrastructure that may be located outside the EU; such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses). Anonymous visit statistics are processed by Umami on our behalf. We do not send your email to any advertiser, data broker, or other third party.
05How long we keep it
We keep your email until ELLIS launches and for a short period afterward, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. After that it is deleted.
06Your rights
Under the GDPR you can, at any time:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- have it erased;
- restrict or object to its use;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent, which is as easy as asking us to remove you.
To do any of these, email dv@b12s.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
07Cookies
This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. It stores one small item in your browser only to remember that you have already signed up. The details are in our Cookie Policy.
08Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. As ELLIS grows into a full product, a more detailed policy will replace this one.
