Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
This is a deliberately quiet page, because there is very little to report. ELLIS's waitlist site does not use cookies to track you.
No consent banner, on purpose. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and our visitor analytics is cookieless and anonymous. Nothing here identifies you or follows you across the web, so there is nothing to consent to.
01What we store, and why
The only thing this site keeps in your browser is functional and set by us:
- ellis_waitlist (browser local storage)
- When you submit your email, we save it in your own browser's local storage so the page can recognise that you've already signed up and avoid asking you twice. It never leaves your device through this mechanism and is not used to track you. You can clear it any time from your browser settings.
02Measuring interest, privately
To understand whether people find ELLIS interesting, we count visits using Umami, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. It records anonymous, aggregate figures (page views, rough referral source, country) and sets no cookies. It does not build a profile of you, does not track you across other sites, and stores no data that identifies you personally. Because it needs no cookies and no personal data, it requires no consent under the ePrivacy rules.
03What we deliberately don't do
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No Google Analytics or other profile-building trackers.
- No social media trackers or embedded pixels.
- No third-party fonts: our typefaces are served from this site itself, so your browser makes no request to Google or anyone else to display them.
04Strictly necessary items
Our hosting provider (Netlify) may set strictly necessary cookies required for security and to deliver the page reliably. These don't identify you or track your browsing, and under the ePrivacy rules they don't require consent.
05Your email
What happens to the email you submit is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.
06Changes
If we ever add anything that uses cookies or tracks you across sites, we will update this page and ask for your consent first, before it runs.
